With Databricks SQL, the agent writes and runs SQL itself. With Genie, the agent asks a question and Genie writes the query using the tables and instructions your data team set up in the space.
An admin enters your Databricks workspace URL and the client ID and secret of a Databricks OAuth app. Dust then connects to the Databricks-managed Genie MCP server with OAuth. The connection can be shared by the workspace or set up per user.
