Where the funnel breaks
- Cart to Shipping is the cliff. Step-through drops from 71% to 48% week over week, a 23-point fall concentrated entirely in this transition.
- Shipping page group is the worst offender. The Shipping page group accounts for an estimated 4,180 lost conversions, more than the next three page groups combined.
What's driving the drop
- A JS error is blocking the Continue button. A 'promoCode is undefined' error fires on ~6% of Shipping sessions and maps directly to the checkout goal, with the highest impact-on-goal of any error.
- Mobile is hit hardest. Sessions with this error convert at roughly one-third the rate of clean sessions, and the gap is widest on mobile Safari.
